April 29, 2009
PCS UtiliData has been awarded a contract to provide AdaptiVolt™ Infrastructure and Communications Surveys for Ripley Power & Light Company's East Industrial, Hall/Gates and Ripley Electric Distribution Substations. These Surveys represent the first phase of an AdaptiVolt™ Automated Conservation Voltage Regulation (CVR) System deployment as part of a pilot project in coordination with Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA). "We believe that the AdaptiVolt™ System will be a huge benefit to our customers as well as our company," said Mike Allmand, President/CEO of Ripley Power & Light Company. The Infrastructure and Communications Surveys provide a detailed verification of substation equipment and its distribution components to establish the work required to deploy an AdaptiVolt™ Automated CVR System. The Surveys also include an analysis of distribution system voltages to determine optimized voltage regulation levels and the determination of expected energy savings that would result from an AdaptiVolt™ Automated CVR System at Ripley Power & Light Company.
