Why invest in AdaptiVolt™?

In a recent meeting with a high level manager of an investor owned utility, the incentives of installing AdaptiVolt™ were discussed. For this utility, the installed cost of AdaptiVolt™ was substantially less compared to the use of diesel engines as an additional energy source. The manager’s comment was that Public Utility Commissions would be very reluctant to authorize adding high cost generators, when utilities had not taken advantage of low cost energy saving systems. Utilities may be expected to add low cost energy savings systems such as AdaptiVolt™, before they can expect approval of high cost generation. (Note: Conservation frees up energy for other uses much the same as a generator makes energy for other uses.)
