The AdaptiVolt™ Volt/VAR Optimization System utilizes Digital Signal Processing of real-time signals (Voltage, VARs, etc.) collected at critical points within the electric distribution system in order to extract its underlying behavior. This underlying behavior is impacted by several factors, including:
- Behavior of the transmission delivery;
- Behavior of structural components; and,
- Behavior of the load (i.e. customer and process behavior).
Consequently, AdaptiVolt™ allows utilities to make near-optimal control decisions while reducing energy demand by up to 5%.
