San Diego Gas and Electric - CCVT Monitoring

Design, development and integration of a solution for monitoring and annunciation for capacitive coupled voltage transducers (CCVT). This system provides an interface from a generation facility to the utility main office and utilizes PLCs, power monitors, software and graphics to provide real time monitoring, annunciation and control.

Inland Power &  Light - Adaptive Voltage Control (AdaptiVolt™)

Development and integration of an UtiliData® Adaptive Voltage Control (AdaptiVolt™) System to reduce energy consumption through a substation by modulating voltage within pre-sets to minimize energy flow. This system utilizes the UtiliData® 2202 SDCC substation data collector and communications product, the Adaptive Voltage Control (AdaptiVolt™) product, UtiliData® LVM, UtiliData® LRI, radios, cell phone and the Internet. This is a conservation and communications/reporting solution subsidized by BPA with a goal of 3-4% overall energy savings.

Clatskanie PUD - Energy Management/ SCADA System

Full system monitoring, control and communications for all substations including engineering, design, material and equipment supply, radio and telemetry utilizing dual radios and telephone backup. UtiliData® 2202 substation data collector and control system utilizing Cooper relay input with data sent to a dual UtiliData® NT Master Station with data accessible on intranet and Internet. Includes weather station, alarming and paging as well as ability to interface with GIS system and will provide trending and long term data storage.

lickitat County PUD - System Wide SCADA System

SCADA and substation monitoring and communications. turnkey system including design, material and equipment supply, programming and software, start up and commissioning of seventeen (17) substations with UtiliData® 2202 SDCCs, power monitoring equipment, primary radio communications, telephone backup; UtiliData® Master station operator interface, data logging, alarming system, paging system and networking.

Seattle City Light - Consulting and Solution Development for Boundary Dam

Development of standards for control system automation utilizing Allen Bradley ControlLogix, Rockwell Software and PCS UtiliData system development. Solution involved complete engineering specifications development for the future upgrade of the control system for an existing hydroelectric generating facility including sluice gates, OIT, Graphics, communications and control.

Benton REA - System Wide SCADA System

First phase of a nineteen substation SCADA system utilizing radios and telephone backup. Project included design, development, fabrication, installation, startup and training. System utilized UtiliData® 2202 SDCC, Rockwell software, Allen Bradley hardware and EST radios.

Northwest Aluminum Company - Rectifier Control System

Plant electrical demand control, pot line demand balancing, rectifier load balancing, ControlLogix, RSView32 OIT, power monitoring with Rockwell power monitors, report generation and connection to plant network.

Reliant Energy HL&P - Major Underground Monitoring System for Houston Texas

Consulting, engineering, design and development of an underground monitoring system for 475 remote locations. Communications utilizes fiber and data collectors to interface to all existing relays and IEDs, then data is sent to UtiliData® SDCC data concentrators and on up to a UtiliData® PC Master and then to existing intranet.

Exxon - 230kv to 12kv Substation and Switch House Monitoring and Control System

Reliance (Rockwell Automation) Automate 40 PLCs at each location. Included billing, tracking, load shedding and restoration as well as trip blocking during switching procedures and communications between PLCs via fiber optic cable.

Northstar BHP Steel - 345kv to 34.5kv Substation Automation and SCADA System

345kv / 34.5 kV Substation and Plant-Wide SCADA and Power Monitoring System. Scope of supply included complete design of PLC based substation automation, plant-wide SCADA and power monitoring system including 70 Power Monitors on three communication links.

Avista Utilities (Washington Water Power Company) - Generating Plant Controls

Replaced three obsolete Modicon PLCs with an Allen-Bradley ControlNet PLC5. Scope of supply included design, wiring and reconnections; fabricate and supply replacement back panels; design and install new PLC program.

Grant County PUD - Turbine Blade Control System, Wanapum Dam

Prototype Kaplan Turbine Blade Controller. Scope of supply included developing PLC based control system that included blade position optimization algorithms; factory testing; start up and commissioning.

Hanford Cross Site Transfer - Pipeline SCADA system

Scope of supply included design, all software and all hardware for system with five PLCs; two operator stations; fiber optic communications; testing; training, graphics and RSView32 OIT systems.

Goldendale Aluminum Company - Rectifier Control

Plant electrical demand control, pot line demand balancing, ControlLogix, RSView32 OIT, RSSql data transfer to SQL database, automatic and manual report generation, report data formatted for display on plant intranet web pages, controlled connection to plant network.

SDS Lumber- Cogeneration Energy Management and Power Monitoring Station

Initial phase of construction of a plant wide power monitoring system including process energy monitoring as well as monitoring of a cogeneration plant with an interface to the local utility. Second phase included installation of UtiliData® 2202 SDCC and communications link to utility.

Northwest Alloys - Plant Wide Power Monitoring System

Provided design and integration for demand control and monitoring of smelting furnaces, screen development, software development and transformer load monitoring.

Detroit Metro Airport - Midfield Substation Automation

Developed a SCADA/Power Monitoring solution utilizing 22 Schweitzer relays, 16 power monitors, graphics and a PC based master to collect and display data both locally and to a remote location. System provides monitoring and reporting for multiple users and includes security, event reporting and alarming.

Potlatch Corporation Hybrid Poplar Tree Farm - SCADA system

Thirty-six (36) square mile Hybrid Poplar SCADA system. Scope of supply included all control design and development of 125 UtiliData® 2202 SDCCs, with radio communication; PLC based pump station controls for 30,000 installed horsepower including radio communications; master station using radios, two (2) large Ethernet PLCs and RSView32 OIT as SCADA Master.

El Paso Natural Gas Company - Gas Turbine Control and SCADA

PCS UtiliData provided complete algorithm development and PLC programming for gas turbine control and regulation to totally replace the existing controls on large GE industrial gas turbines. These packages are installed in several stations. PCS developed an RTU protocol conversion software package so that new RTUs could be installed at each station without requiring reconfiguration of Vector Master Station.

Kaiser Aluminum/Trentwood - Power Monitoring System

Developed data retrieval and operator interface screens to display data from three major substations and twenty four power monitors located remotely throughout this large aluminum plant.
